Qantas Issues Apology for R-Rated Movie Plays During Flight

Australian airline Qantas has issued an apology after a recent Qantas flight from Sydney to Tokyo got extremely uncomfortable when a racy film called “Daddio” was played on all the aircraft’s screens for nearly an hour.

The 2023 drama starring Dakota Johnson and Sean Penn has an R rating due to language, sexual material and brief graphic nudity, and passengers were unable to pause or turn off their screens while the film was playing during the flight.

Qantas said the crew initially tried to fix the screens for customers who did not want to watch the movie but once it was established that it was not possible they quickly switched to a children’s film.

The airline has issued an apology to passengers and it following up with them as a result.
